Wiki Vote/Charminfo Template Vote (Ended 4/11/10)
From Estiah Wiki
There has been some back and forth on the forums[1] about the changes made to the Charm Info templates. I suggested we bring it up for a vote on the wiki so the majority of wiki users could get a vote. Yes, I did get Skriticos' permission for the Ugly Purple Bar, but not its sequels. Hopefully he won't notice. If you're bored you can check the discussion page for useless trivia.

A note from the designer: As far as I can tell it's not possible to switch individual cell colors in the templates without adding excessive amounts of code. Velkrin 04:21, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

- Afterlife: Most people know every class charm they have and didn't want to see unusable class charm in most templates. A berserker will browse 3-10 different weapon templates. That means, in all people who watch axe template, less than 33% is berserker.

- Bunny: I agree with Afterlife to an extent, I like the Mk3 option because it makes it very obvious which charm is a class charm (so you can tell right away if you can or can't use it)and it does it without separating the charms into another grid. It's far move convenient to only have to look at one grid and with a class column it's much easier to weed out the ones you can't use while still showing you all your options.
- Eurydice 07:41, 9 April 2010 (UTC) I like this one, because if you don't want to see class charms you can easily click "type" to push all class charms down. And if you want to see particular class charms you can easily find them too, just click "type" again to lift them up and scan the last column. The Mk 2.5 has a obvious defect, it's not as friendly as Mk 3 when you want to find class charms. They are separated by "Craft" and "Shop". Btw, I don't like the "Gold" column, these info are useless, a craft charm's real cost usually very different from the craft fee.

- Cygax 00:08, 5 April 2010 (UTC) In response to Afterlife: Some people who are looking at axe templates might be trying to decide what class to pick. :) With class charms added to the entire chart, you can see the entire spectrum in one chart. (Changed my vote to 3.0 due to Eurydice's comments - appears Mk 1 and 2 are totally out, maybe those voters might want to chime in between 2.5 and 3?)
- H4ngedm4n 03:48, 5 April 2010 (UTC) I agree with above comment. It is very helpful when exploring options.
